i am on XP professional 2002 now. Whenever I print something to a printer a
little yellow informational pop up comes up telling me I sent something to
the printer and it points to the printer icon in the task bar. This is really
useless and annoying can anyone tell me how to turn it off. I can't find that
option in any of the settings

Tried this?

- If you are using the default view, from the Start menu --> Control
Panel -> Printer and Other Hardware --> Printers and Faxes icon.
- If you are using the Classic View, from the Start menu --> Settings -->
Control Panel --> Printers and Faxes icon.

- In the Printers and Faxes window, from the File menu --> Server
Properties.

- Click the Advanced tab, and then check or uncheck the checkbox next to
'Notify when remote documents are printed' to either enable or disable the
printing notification.

- Click OK to save the changes, and then close the dialog box.
