Hello,
I have USB printer some distance from my computer. I would like to get my
computer to get stuff ready to print but not actually have it printed until
I connect the printer later in the delay.

Is this possible and if so what application would you recommend ?
Thanks.

Left-click on Start/Printers and Faxes/your default printer. Once the screen
comes up, open the tab Printer at top left and left-click ONCE on the Pause
Printing option. This will 'toggle' your printer into the 'pause mode' and
will remain that way until you change it or re-boot the machine. Later in
the day when you DO hook up your printer for printing out all those 'paused'
jobs, repeat the steps above exactly as they appear. This will 'toggle' your
printer back into 'print mode' and your print jobs will begin printing.
Because this 'program' comes WITH your Windows Operating System and you
actually do PAY for your Windows Operating System, I don't think it
qualifies as "freeware", which is the topic of this NG. ;-)
