Printer & faxes Server Properties dissabled

I am using a Generic / Text print driver on a serial port of Windows XP Home
(on a client's computer). For some reason when I make a change to the
Printer Properties, like adding a Begin Print Job print command the command
is not remembered, it is always erased. Also on this machine we need to add
a new "form" on the Print Server Properties and the Create a New Form box is
dissabled along with form description items, all dissabled.

What can be causing everything to be dissabled?

Is the person trying to make the changes logged on as the Administrator or
user with Admin Rights... Limited users cannot change properties.

Cari,

You were CORRECT ... she was not signed in as the Administrator ... I had
her properly sign in and all is now well. Thanks for your help! This one
goes in my user manuals & FAQs.
