Printer driver - removing a stubborn one

I was using a network printer and it has quit working. I've deleted the
printer and reinstalled, etc. no change.

I'd like to remove the driver and reinstall so I went to the printers
folder, file, print server, selected the driver, clicked removed and it says
it can't remove it because it is in use. It's not. It is the defautl
printer so I thought that was the problem and changed default printers, but
it still won't delete.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Thanks.

Sounds a bit odd, is there anything in the printer queue? If so empty
that and give it another shot.

Has the printer been deleted from the Printers list? You could also stop
and restart the Print spooler service and try "breaking" the "in use"
feature. And one more thing to try is installing another printer so the
one in question is NOT the last one to have been installed. Hope one of
these rectifies the issue.
