I have 2 Win2000 Pro workstations connected to one Lexmark Z25 printer. I
have the printer physically connected to computer3 and shared through the
peer to peer network. Recently when I reboot computer1 the printer driver
deletes. If I reinstall the printer driver, all works fine until it reboots
again. Then the printer driver icon and connection is gone again... I have
reinstalled the operating system and it still has the same result. I have
one Computer connected that is running ME and it never drops the printer
connection or icon... IDEAS????

I had the same problems with a w2k machine on a network. Everytime I added
a network printer it would work until reboot then disappear. I found I was
having other issues too - like my outlook setting were not be kept. In my
research I found some mention of the user being corrupted. So I deleted the
user (after saving the profile as a default) and created a new user.
Everything works fine now with the new user.

Hope this helps you. Oh, sorry for the 1st post being blank. I'm new in
replying to a post.
