Hi:
I got a re-conditioned printer for 'defective printer''
..
When I tried to print, printing didn't work. Then,
I went to 'Printing and Fax' by accessing Control
Panel. .

There are 'two' identical printer's name, one is a legitimate name,
Printer 16000 series that is useless due to defectiveness and
other is 16000 series(copy 1) which is recoditioned, but works good.

Wonder how did it happen?
I never changed anything.
I just hooked up this 'printer' after disconnecting a defective printer.

Thanks for your help in advance.

You should have removed the other printer setup before adding your recon to
your setup. Remove/delete both of them and reboot. Windows will detect your
printer and get you installed properly with only one instance of it showing.

Windows installed a second copy of the printer drivers. It's not really a
problem.

You can uninstall the set associated with the printer that you no longer
have. Or, if you insist on neatness, uninstall both drivers and reinstall
just the ones for the printer that you have.

Address scrambled. Replace nkbob with bobkn.
