Printer compatibility . . .

I am in the process of switching from XP to Vista and to my amazement, when
I tried to download drivers for my HP LaserJet 1020 printer -- a fairly new
device -- HP tells me there is no driver available.

I wouldn't have taken Vista if I'd thought my printer wouldn't work.

I haven't yet attached the printer to see what happens.

A lesser problem: I like a very old iPhoto as my picture editor, but Vista
won't take the installation. Is there any way to make this compatible?

Any guidance appreciate.

I should think that a HP printer should speak PCL. There should be no need
for a driver beyond a generic PCL driver.
