Since replacing my black cartridge, my color no longer works.I have checked the settings, and as far as I can see, nothing has changed. My printer is a Lexmark X5150.Thanks

Sounds daft..... but have you checked that you have ink in your COLOUR cartridge?
Can you run a toolbox and clean your cartridges? and then print a t est page?
If you can`t get any other help on this site. try this one..... www.fixyourownprinter.com
very helpful and knowledgeable on there !
good luck

Thank you for your reply and the link. I have run toolbox, cleaned both the printers contacts and the cartridge's, so I'm guessing where the printer isn't used that often, maybe the color is dried up. I have ordered a new cartridge on eBay, so hopefully, that solves the problem. Thanks again for your help.Keith

I replaced the color cartridge, uninstalled and reinstalled the software, unplugged and plugged the printer back in, still no color print. Thanks

Is the "print head" part of the printer? or is it combined on the cartridge? I suspect it is the former..... and as you have already mentioned that the printer isn`t used much, it may have dried up ink on the print head...... I don`t know the Lexmark printers, so can`t help with cleaning the head, if that is the case...... If it is accessible without too much dismantling, you could perhaps try using a soft lint free cloth with some hot water and apply "damp" not "wet" to the head until it gets cold. If you do this a few times, then re-install the colour cartridge, you may be lucky !... If that is not the case, then I suggest you log into the link I gave you before fixyourprinter .... Good Luck, come back and keep us informed ! ! !.
