Hello,

I'am looking for printer which can print on size A3+ with some other
possibilities:
- black & white only
- duplex
- network interface
- print speed > 35 ppm
- pice no more than 4000 - 5000 EUR

It seems that this is very difficult task. Maybe some one can recommend me
some devices?

I have a HP 9300 deskjet A3 printer.
It prints most paper formats, including A3+.
It was about 3000 EUR.
Works very good.
However, I do not know what "duplex" is.

Kyocera FS-9xxx (I think thats the right model number), certainly
Kyocera will do something, Ricoh will do something, as will Canon, HP
and Xerox.

A quick look at www.ricoh.co.uk shows that a Aficio AP610N could be
suitable or the AP4510 could be suitable as well, its official price is
a little above the budget, but probably comes into budget in reality (ie
RRP =/ real price)

Sorry, it shall be 300 EUR only. Not 3000 of course!!

Ah, with that reduced price a speed of >35ppm will be very difficult
(impossible?) to obtain. Maybe a machine will claim that speed but it
will be the theoretical speed of the engine without any printing
actually occuring.

Yes you are right!
The HP printer I have is rather slow!
Maybe 3-5 A3+ in a minute, depending on the amount of text.

I have already checked HP (HP LJ 9040dn and HP LJ 9050dn) and Xerox (Phaser
5500V/DN) offer - their offers ends at normal A3 format.
Canon has very unclear offer - no detailed technical description on web
site.
I will investigate Kyocera.

A quick look at www.ricoh.co.uk shows that a Aficio AP610N could be

APN610N and AP4510 supports up to A3 format only.
There is CL5100 which prints on A3 but this is colour printer and the print
cost per page is to high.

What about LexmarkW840dn which is advertised as A3+
(http://www.lexmark.pl/uncomplicate/product/home/645/0,7044,846391_486926_487174789_pl_0_1,00.html)
but when you look into manual you can find only A3... Mistake or?

Thank you for suggestioons

However, I do not know what "duplex" is.

Duplex is printing on both sides of page.
There are manual duplex and automatic duplex.

BR

There is no manual duplex. Just a name given by people who turn the
paper over and print on the other side of the page. An auto duplex
print both sides but one at a time.

I missed the plus bit of the A3+

www.theprinterdatabase.com gives a filter option to find a printer,
which it might be worth playing with.
