I have a pp that I want to print. Here is problem...It uses a black
background with mostly white fonts. I want to print just the text. Right
now if I do that it will probably use up ALL of a new print cartridge just
printing the background which as I mentioned is black (Actually it has some
yellow & red but mostly black). is there anyway I can print just the
text/letters/word a with no background?

Not sure if this will work in your version of Powerpoint, but in 2002 there is an option in the File>Print menu for "color/grayscale"... try setting this option to "pure black and white". I just tried it with one of the built-in slide designs that has a black background with white and yellow text, and the printed output is a white background with black text. Hope this helps.

Have you looked at it in Grayscal/B+W view (vew menu - color grayscale)
Of course, you can also just print the outline if formatting is not
important.
