print to ptr on XP from 98

I have an Oki Pacemark printer on a Windows XP machine. I
have it shared. My problem is, on a Windows 98 machine,
when I install the printer and try to print, I'm asked for
a password if I'm logged on as the user. If I log onto the
98 machine as the network admin, it prints OK. What am I
missing + where?

Try installing the printer software on the 98 machine as well and then see
if you can print. I had a lot of trouble with the shared printer function
on my network and it seemed to be related to the 9x machine looking for its
own driver. When I installed the printer directly on that machine, it
printeed fine even though the printer was actually connected to my XP PC.
