Hi,
I want to print from a client in Domain B to a shared printer in Domain A.
I have created an identical acct. in AD of both domains.
I have put that acct. in the power users local group of the client sharing
the printer in Domain A. (maybe unnec)
I log on to a client in Domain B, click properties of the target printer,
and I get an error until I browse to that client thru Net Neighborhood, and
authenticate with the same acct. I’m logged in with.
At that point, as long as I don’t log out of the client on Domain B, I can
print all day long.
I know pass through auth works w/o a second authentication, I’ve used it on
folders in diff. domains without that extra 2nd authentication step.
What am I missing to keep from having my users take that extra step of
browsing to the client in Domain A and authenticating with the same acct.
they logged on with?
Thanks in advance,
