I am printing handouts to Acrobat PDF Writer. The pdf file has the images
but many lines and text boxes are offset on the images. They are there, just
shifted uniformally from where they are supposed to be. Other elements of
each image is accurate.

This is using XP and Adobe Acrobat 4.0.

what to do?

You might consider upgrading to one of the more recent versions of Acrobat.
I seem to remember that this was fixed in either 5 or 6. I know that it no
longer happens in the 6.1 version I have installed. I don't know that there
was ever a work-around for v4.

You answered your own question :-)
Take the extra step and use distiller, in the long run you will save
time and be happier with the results.

That would be PPT XP and not Windows XP, wouldn't it?

I'd try using Distiller instead of PDFWriter for starters.

I'm having similar kinds of trouble but in the powerpoint
itself. I'm using 2003 on XP. I also had that same issue
with the .pdf as well. Can you let me know if you get some
resultion on it?

thanks!
