I need to be able to redirect printing to a file. I am aware of the method
where you add the file to the registry as a port, but it has one major
drawback in that each time there is a print session, it wipes out the file
and starts again. I need a method that can append to an existing file. Is
there a driver of any kind that can do this?

nothing that I'm aware of, but you could write a small app. to monitor the
output file and to append it to an existing one.

Virtual Port Monitor redirects printing to a file,
naming the file automatically.
