Print to File - Where Saved?

I filled out a pdf document in Adobe Reader. They tell you it cannot be
saved with the filled in entries. So, before printing it, I also did a
Print to File. Where is that file saved? -- Adobe Reader's Print to
File window only asked for how I wanted to name the file. Thanks.

I did a search of my hard drive and found the file in the same folder
that the PDF form is in. Now my question is how do I print the file?
The print to file was done with my HP Laser printer as the printer
(driver). Thanks.

Congrats on finding your own print document there Neil. And thanks for
letting us know.

What I do is use GSview 4.3, which is free software, to convert the
..prn file into a PDF document and then print it. You will have to
Google for and download GSview as it is probably not already on your
WIN95 computer.

If the printer is connected via a parallel port then just open a DOS window
and:

Copy /b file lpt1:

Where file is the file name and lpt1 is whatever printer port you have the
printer connected.

Printfile is another (and probably better) alternative as it has more
features and supports any printer with a windows driver. See

Thanks Bob.
It was not clear from the software description that it would handle
images. I added the program and tested it and found it easier than
converting as I do sometimes. Still, If you want to bring the .prn
document back to be a PDF, you need a converter.

Neil-

Try opening the printer. Perhaps that is the same as looking at the
computer's spool file where print jobs are waiting to be printed. Now,
drag the file to that window. If it works, the file should be added to
the queue and print when its turn comes.
