Print to a fax program

When I was using Win98, I had Communicate!Lite installed as my fax
program (bundled with the faxmodem card). It had its quirks, but I
learned to get along with it.

Now that I've (finally) upgraded to XP Pro, I'd like to continue using
the same fax program (yes, I know that there's a fax utility built
into XP). I've installed the Communicate software, and it works, I
can receive and manually send faxes (i.e., I can send faxes directly
from the Communicate program).

However, I'm unable to send a fax from another program, like Word.
Under Win98, I would select "print," and my fax program would be
listed as one option in a list of printers. That doesn't happen with
XP.

How can I get XP to print to a fax program?

Install printer wizard & choose new port & hopefully select the Communicate
software?
One of my choices at present is MS Word but I'd say if I had your program,
it might be in the avail list?

I am currently giving MightyFAX a try. It looks promising; if interested it
can be found at

The cost is $19.95.

I will second that! I have used Mighty Fax with Win98 and now XP and it
does everything.

I'd like to be associated with the remarks about Mightyfax. Especially now
it's got the one thing it really needed - manual receive.

Regards Tony.

Don,

Click file, receive mode. Or, click the "Receive" button (it defaults to
auto receive unless you click the little arrow next to the button).

HTH Tony.

You're welcome, Don.

Note to the OP: have you tried re-installing Communicate?

Yes, that didn't help.

In reply to the other poster, when I run the "add printer wizard" it
asks me for the printer manufacturer, there are no software options.
Anyone else got any ideas?
