nvironments\Windows NT x86\Drivers\Version-2 and the
Version-3 entry which a) Didn't fix the problem b) nor did
it change anything. The entries have been restored and
did not fix the issue.
I was connected to the printers through standard Windows
File/Printer sharing. One LJ4 on NT4 and one on Win98.
Thanks,
Paul

What reg keys did you delete?
are you connecting to the printers with LPR, Standard TCP
Port, HP Standard

RPC is running. I'm printing to networked HP 4's.
Thanks,
Paul
-----Original Message-----
The spooler is dependent of the RPC service. Make sure
that is also
running.
What type of printer do you have?

Nope nobody's touched it.

Paul has anyone responded to your question? I am
having
the same issue.
Thanks for any help.

I have no printers in my printers folder. When I
click
on
the add printer icon I get: "print subsystem is
unavailable". I've restarted the print spooler
from
command line and services menu and verified that
the
service is set to logon system account.
I've also tried deleting registry keys that was
suggested
in an earlier post. Nothing has fixed the issue.
Thanks for any help.
Paul
