My OS is Windows XP, my printer is an HP Laserjet 1100A, my computer has 512
MB of memory, there is gigabytes of unused space on my hard drive, and my
CPU is running at 1.8 GHZ.
My printer always works just fine except when I try to print to both sides.
When I change my printer preferences to print both sides, a never-ending
spooling activity occurs. This is true even for a short 5 page document. I
have waited as long as 30 minutes, and when I click on the printer icon, it
tells me that it is still spooling, but shows 0% progress.
I have only tried printing to both sides with PDF documents, so I'm not sure
if the same thing would happen with, for example, a multiple page Word
document.
Any suggestions are most welcome.
