Hello All,
I know this has been discussed before, but I have read every posting
and still cannot solve the problem.
Although the Print Spooler Service is set to turn on automatically,
when I startup, it is not on. I can start it manually thought the
management console, but when I execute the Add a Printer wizard, the
service turns back off and I get an error message:
"The operation could not be completed. The print spooler service is not
running.
RPC is running an I have removed all printer drivers as well as I could
in the registry.
I have re-expanded spoolsv.exe and spoolss.dll from the XP Installation
Disc.
I have also run the cleanspl.exe and it says it has successfully
cleaned the spooler, but I still receive the same error when I try to
Add a Printer and the service turns itself off again.
I'm not sure what else to do here. Any help would be greatly
appreciated.
Thanks,
Jake
