Print Spooler problems

Hi,

I am having some problems on one of our new customers Windows 2000 Server.
This used to be a member server of a domain which was acting as a Terminal
Server in application mode. Seeing how their old domain controller was
seized, we promoted this one and built a new Active Directory domain.

However, now i'm having problem with the print spooler. In the service
manager, all options on the Print Spooler service are greyed out and trying
to access it's properties I get "Access Denied" even though i'm logged in
as Administrator. Also, it's not showing the information for this service
like for other services (description, logged on as, startup type, etc..).
Looking in regedt32, the permissions for the key for this service under
HLM\System\CCS\Services\ are ok, and the domain administrator group has
full control access on the key. Also the permissions on the spoolsv.exe
and spoolss.dll file are ok and Administrator again has full control.

I'm scanning for Viruses but aside from this I have pretty much run out of
ideas.

Any help is appreciated.
