hey, have been recently having problems with my print
spooler. None of my printers show up in the printers
submenu, and when i go to add them, i get the lack of
resources message.

What I have done. Gone and deleted the registry keys
included in Version 2 and Version 3 (a directed to by
http://members.shaw.ca/bsanders/CleanPrinterDrivers.htm).

When going to root/system32..../2, there are 4 files that
i can not delete, and i dont know why. Anyway, i have
deleted all but these 4 files (are for my pdf writer), and
i am still having problems. I can start my print spooler,
but it will stop on its own within minutes.

Why i think it is not a bad driver. Everything was
working fine until the hurricane came through. Am afraid
i had a surge or 2, and my computer has been weird ever
since. WinSocks was hosed and i had to go and fix that
using registry keys and stuff too, so could this be a
similar problem?? What can i do to delete the 4 files
(and drivers) that windows won't let me delete (i tried in
the command prompt).

Thanks for the help.

Had a similar problem here. I re-applie SP and rebooted,
everything was good after that.
-No printers showing up in printer folder
-Spooler service stopping.
Also check event logs to see if there are any errors.
