Hi :
Windows XP Home os
Lexmark X74-75 Printer
Problem every time I turn on, or re-start the computer I
have to start the print spooler manually. Even though the
spooler sart-up settings are set to Automatic,As well as
it's dependancies. This will cause the printer Icons to
now show, in Printers and Faxes Screen. Prior to starting
spooler manually, no printers show in this window. There
is a print driver at Lexmark's site, but I haven't
downloaded it yet. Should I try this? Note: Printer works
Fine as long as you can see it in the printers window, and
I only have one printer on this computer! Also, I have no
problems with this printer when connected to my other
computer running Windows 98 os! What should I Do to start
print spooler automatically? Thanks

Hi Karl --

It may be that the Lexmark driver is breaking the spooler. If that's the
case, an updated driver may help resolve this -- it probably wouldn't hurt
to give that a try.

The spooler is trying to automatically start when you boot already, but then
being shut down for some reason.
