W2K SP4 Terminal Services, MetaframeXPe

Here is the message I'm getting in the event log:

Application popup: spoolsv.exe - Application Error : The
instruction at "0x67ef1655" referenced memory
at "0x0000000c". The memory could not be "read".

History: I tried to do a test print to an autocreated
HP4100 printer and this locked up the server. I rebooted
and it took several minutes for the login screen to appear
and then after logging in I never saw my console icons,
just the pretty blue windows backround. Reset server and
went into safe mode and disabled the print spooler service
and the server came up normally. I then started the
spooler and it started but when I try to open the printers
folder it never comes up. I'm bummin' big time on this
because nobody can print. What would be my next steps?
Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank You, John Orf, SSM

A crashing spooler is a pretty good indication that one or
some of your printer drivers may be causing problems.

If I were you, I would remove all printer drivers from
your terminal server and reload them fresh from the
Windows 2000 disks. I would no load any third party
drivers from third party websites, since some of those
drivers aren't tested to perform correctly in a terminal
services environment. As you have already determined,
some drivers, if they crash, can bring your entire server
to the ground.
