Print Sharing from 2000 Server Workgroup

I have a small 3 node network with Server 2000 setup as a
Workgroup. I am sharing the server drive (D:) for our main
DOS app (Advance Revelations database) and an Okidata ML-
184 dot-matrix printer. The DOS app is running slow and I
can't not get the shared printer to print anything from
the DOS app. I have "Net Use LPT1: \\servername\printer",
to connect to the shared printer from within the DOS app.
Any ideas or suggestions?

Try using the IP of Server and not Servername (\\10.0.0.1

\printer)with no WINS or DNS it might not resolve
servername. Make sure printer is shared.
