Hello,
Our present print server runs on a W2K server box. We've stood up a new
W2K3 server in our AD and just finished using Print Migrator 3.1 to backup
the printers, drivers and port information on the W2K server and
successfully restored that to the new W2K3 server. Only thing I had to do
was manually add the tcp/ip ports on the new printers.
My issue now is my 50 users need to have their printer mappings updated to
reflect the printers on the new server. We have about 4 departments with
printers in each one (some have more than one) so we were hoping we could
automate the process of deleting and adding printers via a login script
which we could link via a GPO at the OU level. We're going to create OU's
for each department.
Is this possible? If so, does anyone have any examples of login scripts? I
don't have much time.
Thanks
