Works here. After pressing the key, open PAINT and EDIT|PASTE.

1) Press the Print Screen Key
2) Goto Start>>Run>>Type "mspaint"
3) In Paint goto Edit>>Paste

In XP the Print Screen key does not send the screen directly to the printer,
it sends it to the clipboard. After you press the print screen key, open
Word, Paint, or Wordpad (if its just text) and click on Edit, then Paste.
You can then print your screen shot .

open desired window and adjust size
Click cursor inside this window
use Alt+PrintScreen keys combo
open wordpad or word or paint
right-click to paste.
image should appear.

pressing the printscreen is for the entire screen.
