I have a series of 4 reports which I currently colate sending on page at a
time to the printer in order to create a collated survey. (1st page of 4
reports, 2nd page of 4 reports, etc) This printed version is then given to a
publisher and printed for mass distribution. I need a way to provide this
report to the publisher collated, but in a file rather than paper.
Previously we tried a pdf writer, but there was no way to collate and the
images wasn't exact (it increased the margins and slightly reduced the font).
Is there a ways to do this that will render the same result if I print or if
I send it to a file and then print? Thanks.

Hello,

we are unable to export Access reports into Publisher directly. However, we
can export the reports from Access to .rtf file, then import the .rtf file
into Publisher.

As per the following article, you cannot export the embedded OLE objects,
such as pictures, into the resulting .rtf file, you may have to insert the
picture manually in Publisher.

Sorry, miscommunication. I'm referring to sending them to a company who
"publishes/reproduces" reports not MS Publisher. Also, as a clarification,
there isn't an image in the report, but if I take one page of the report
which is sent to the printer and the same page of the report which is sent to
a file, hold them up to a light, I would like to see a match in print (same
margins, same font size, etc). Any thoughts?

At your suggestion, I tried snapshot viewer, but when printing from Snapshot
viewer, it also increases the report margins and makes the text font slightly
smaller. Any other suggestions? Thanks

At your suggestion, I tried snapshot

Any other suggestions? Thanks

Lisa, as you have seen, there is no way to do exactly what you want, unless
you can create a report that generates the pages in the order that you'd
collate them after the fact. If you then "print to file" for the printer you
and the publisher use, that should give you what you want -- maybe.

Another alternative would be to ensure that your publisher has an identical
printer, then send a database containing the tables, queries, and reports
and let the publisher print from the database report itself.
