print problem

I recently cleaned off some (I thought)redundant programs
like Media Player and things that I never use. Seems I
have lost something essential in the process as my printer
now does not receive any signals from the p.c.
The Error Report says the Lanman Workstation is non-
existant.
Is that anything to do with printing?

Can anyone help?

I searched 'Lanman Workstation is non-existant' on Google
and got over 2500 hits so you aren't alone.
