Print preview will only come up on the user acct. that was 1st opened after
startup. MY wife, daughter and I use each acct. and have no designated
admin. acct. Is there a way to change this so that the print preview window
comes up in any of the three user accts. when trying to print something?

Yes use inbox drivers.

If your printer is not supported by inbox, you will need to ask the driver
vendor.

If this is an issue where you have multiple logon sessions, the print
preview might be attempting to throw the preview UI in session 0.

Give this a try: Create a FAKE printer using the Add Printer Wizard to LPT1
using an inbox driver. Set the printer as default

Retry the scenario. If this works it's the driver for your printer.

Delete the FAKE printer.

I'm sorry, but I'm new to this, Can you please explain to me what you mean
by inbox drivers, and where I would find this and how to perform this action?
Thank You.

Inbox means that the driver was included with Windows XP.

notepad c:\windows\inf\ntprint.inf

If your printer is listed in this file, it's inbox.

Use Add Printer in the Printers and Faxes folder to add a FAKE printer.
Click Next and follow the yellow brick road. I am sure you have the answer
within.
