Print Orientation Problem

My colleague is using XP (updated with all new updates) and XP Office when he
prints documents either Word docs or PDF's they are randomly printing in
landscape when all his settings are for portrait. We have tried a different
printer and they print the same way leading us to believe that the problem
lies with his computer. Any thoughts, or suggestions? Thanks very much.
 
He needs to change his Page Setup Default in the application that is
printing incorrectly.

Make sure the page sizes equate to a portrait sized page.
