Print on Client Printer

I have a Windows 2000 Server running terminal services.
I have a Windows XP Client connecting via the Internet.

I need to print to both a printer connected directly to the client as well
as a networked printer connected to the client. I do not seem to be able to
do this. I read many places where this is possible. How do I accomplish
this?

I have tried some of the things that Microsoft suggest, but they have not
worked.

Thanks,
Duane

I assume that you have configured the client to redirect local
printers? If the printer is not autocreated at all in the TS
session, the problem is probably that there is no driver for that
printer on the server. Map the printer to a native driver and it
shoulf be autocreated. For details check:

Signed Ntprint.inf File

I have redirected the local printers and I have also installed the drivers
on the server.

I am still not getting the printers on the Remote Desktop sessions from the
client. Any other suggestions?

Thanks,
Duane

So the printers are not autocreated at all? Not even the locally
attached printer? Then there should be some information in the
EventLog, can you post that?
What printers are we talking about here?
Have you verified that the printer driver names are *exactly* the
same on the client and the server? What happens if you map the
printer to a known good driver, like a HP LaserJet 4? Is it
autocreated then?
