I would like to know if it is possible to print via the internet. Let me
explain: At work there is a printer connected to my laptop however it is
supposed to be used at a minimum. Would it be possible to print to my omputer
at home through the internet (using an IP Address or something of the sort)?
When I click Add Printer there is an option using http://server however I do
not understand it and I have no idea how I can put my printer at home at a
server... - Please help A.S.A.P.

Well... Okay...

It's not going to be easy?

Grab RealVNC or the likes. I like RealVNC but TightVNC is pretty good too.
www.realvnc.com

Play with it at home... Setup a password...

Get your IP address or sign up for one of the do-it-yourself DNS freeware
sites.

Copy said document to the PC via dragging it to the desktop or a folder.

Print it on that computer at home.

Get fired for violating company policy. (Check with IT staff first.)

Oh, Okay. But there is no way to print via the internet or live time using
the Add Printer Wizard?

Nope... Well not with what you're doing. You're looking at a IP address
(your home PC) on a different network and nothing to make the network
connect to it in any way, shape, or form that you're going to want to go
through. Trust me on this...

VNC is the way to go for this sort of work.

If you open a port in your firewall at home for inbound TCP traffic on
port 515 (and set it to accept inbound traffic only from the IP subnet
at your work so that other internet users are denied access).

On your laptop at work, setup a printer driver to use an LPR port with
the IP address of your home PC and a remote queue name set to the
printer share name of your home printer.
