Hi,

I am using Print Migrator 3.1 and I have backed up the
drivers on a Windows 2000 server and restored them to a
Windows 2003 server. The problem is that all the printers
that have been migrated to the 2003 server are offline.
How do I resolve this?

Install the port monitor that you had installed on the Win2K server. If you
check out the ports tab of the offline printers you'll find that no port is
selected.

Once you install the port monitor, restart the spooler.

What is the port monitor that was used on the previous machine?

Windows defaults to Standard TCP/IP Port and Local Port. Windows includes
LPR Port (install Print Services for Unix) and Appletalk Printing Devices
Port (Install Appletalk protocol). If it is from someone else you probably
need to use their installation software.
