Print Jobs getting redirected

I have a computer on a network that has both a local printer and several Network printers. The Local printer which is an HP 970 Cse, is getting any jobs that is sent to it redirecting to one of the network printers, and of course, since the job is sent using the driver for HP, the print job is trashed and unreadable when it prints on the network printer. I have even deleted the network printer, and somehow the jobs are still going there. The network printer is an IP assigned printer. All the settings appear to be correct for both printers. The local Printer is set at Lpt1 and the Network printer is set at it's IP address. I have tried deleting and installing BOTH printers, I have also updated both printers with the latest drivers. The Local printer is set as the default, and when I open up Notepad, word, quickbooks...doesn't matter, all the jobs initially appear in the 970 printer window, then disappear and reappear in the Network printer window where it then prints out the garbage.

Anyone come across this wierd scenerio before??

net use LPT1: /d

you need to disconnect the mapped LPT port
