Would like to be able to print Internet Articles without the ads and
in the most condensed text form possible.

Some Internet articles do allow you the option of a print version that
removes all or most of the ads.

Am hoping that there is an app that can do this with most or all
articles.

Gene

PS checked Priceless... site and saw Web2Text and am wondering if this
is what am looking for? Appreciate any comments from anyone who has
used it.

This could be _a part_ of the solution.

It works for me in Internet Explorer 6 even if microsoft states
Web Accessories for Internet Explorer 5
does NOT work with ie6.

Open Frame in New Window
Tired of HTML frames boxing you in?
Ever wish you could see a page without all those annoying sidebars?
Now you can! Just right-click anywhere in the frame you're interested in,
and select Open in New Frame.

Thorkild,

Thanks very much for the info and link! Have downloaded it and will try.

I am still using IE5.5 but good to know it works with your IE6.

Thorkild,

Tried IE Access... software. Installed OK and has a number of
interesting features but was unable to remove the side frames. Maybe
was Not doing something correct?

Maybe the easiest thing is to give you an example of an article that
would like to transform into just std text.

For example on tomshardware you may find ads on the side or even
within the text area.
http://www.tomshardware.com/storage/20040625/index.html Am thinking
may have to use a Good Ad remover then some software that will compact
the text... Am also thinking a html to pdf app that does this would
be nice.

Thanks

View and print pages *without* images (toggle on/off utility)
http://www.mvps.org/inetexplorer/answers_8.htm
Download and unzip the file available here.
http://www.mvps.org/inetexplorer/NoImages.zip
Save its contents to any directory. Now go to IE tools, internet
options, accessibility. Turn on the option to use style sheets as
shown below:
Any images on the page will disappear, and you will be able to print
out a web page without wasting ink on advertisements and banner ads
etc.

Any reason you can't just cut&paste to a word processor? I don't print
stuff that often, though. Also, Firefox browser has a great
ad-blocking plugin.. Brian
