Hello to the group

I recently installed a Netgear WGR614 802.11g/b WiFi Wireless Router; the
router is connected directly to my main PC (Port 4) and to my cable Modem,
my other 2 machines connect Wirelessly.

The installation was very simple indeed and now all my home PCs can access
the Internet independently, my problem now is I cannot Print / File share
unless I disable the Windows Firewall on my main PC (I do have File / Print
Share enabled on the exceptions tab BTW)

Maybe I'm missing something really obvious, Is there a way to enable Print /
File sharing without disabling the Firewall? When I had a Peer to Peer Ad
Hoc setup there were no problems.

I'm running XP Home on all machine (latest update)

Thank you in advance

Best regards

Is it enabled for the Wireless Network Connection itself? By the way, this
is a 2k group. <g> Open the Control Panel, click on Classic, open the
Network Connections, right click the Wireless connection, select properties,
click advanced, third tab over... You can make changes in there or make sure
that it's already set. I'm not 100% certain but I *think* that the firewall
settings are per connection??? Settings for your LAN would be only for your
LAN, while settings for your WLAN will be retained for that connection? If
not then, darn it, it should be.

What kind of security schema do you have in the router?
WinXP Home let you making share but can't admin the resources by limit
access to another pc users.
The unique way I can see is:
Control Panel/Firewall (Active), Excepcions: Sharing printers & Files
(check this)
