I have an HP 4500 color laser and prints fine with
everything except corel draw. When you go under
properties to look at the printer the driver is there but
the buttons display junk instead of ok and cancel and the
driver just does not act right. How do I make this
program use the windows driver instead of coreldraw.

AFAIK, CDraw does use the Windows driver. In you case, it
looks like it's just not passing the colour information to
the driver, probably because you can't create the proper
settings within CDraw. (The driver mediates between
applications and the printer.)

It could be a version problem. What version of Coreldraw?
The fact that the menu displays junk instead of characters
suggests that there's a conflict between your version of
CDraw and the OS and/or video drivers you are using. It's
possible that fixing that conflict will fix the printing
problem too. I had a similar problem with an older version
of a Corel program (not CDraw) displaying junk in the
menus, and the problem went away when I got an upgrade.
