print directories

I have windows xp. I would like to print directory
files. In knowledge base article 321379 gives
instructions but I was apprehensive about the registry
editor. Is that part of the instruction a one time
edit? Don't want to cause any serious problems?

Using print screen is to small to read. Can you help?
