I am running W2K as server for a small network. Other than that this
machine only is used to provide access to the Internet. A Panasonic
Laser printer KX-P7100 (using USB connection) is installed as the
main printer for 4 networked PC running on W2k and W98.
For the second time I have now experienced that once I update the
server with the relevant MS security patches (SP4), the printer setup
becomes unstable and crashes. Basically, after the installation
whenever a print order is given to the printer whether from the server
or any of the networked pc, the server automatically reboots.
I have now installed the printer on a W98 PC but would prefer it on
the server. Has anybody come across this problem before or has a
suggestion what may cause this behaviour?
Kind Regards
Tom
