Print Column Report with Images

We have created a report that has 5 columns
and 4 rows, giving us a total of 20 records per
page. Each cell, loads an image from a physical
location (not stored within the database).

The main issue is that when I print the report,
it hangs after awhile, since it loads all those
images into memory first.

The solution I am looking for is either a) a way to
control the print function, ie. print one page, free up
memory and print another page or b) another way
of creating/printing this type of report.

We are using Access 2003, Windows XP, and a
HP color ink jet printer (model N/A).

Any suggestions would help,
Thanks,
Josh

Josh:

This is a known problem with Access reports with lots of images. The first
thing to do is to convert the images to bitmaps rather than jpegs ro gifs.
There's a few other tricks as well. Stop by Stephen Lebans site
www.lebans.com I believe he has utilities to convert to bmps as well as some
other hinds on addressing this issue.
