Hi everyone,

I have an application written in Access 2003 and I have what I hope is
a simple question. I need to be able to print a PDF from my
application. I am NOT looking to create a pdf, it already
exits....rather, I want to print the pdf and cannot figure out how to
do that. Can anyone help?

Thank you so much for your time and effort!

Hi Douglas....thank you very much for your article, I found it very
interesting. I am happy to report that I was successful because of
your ideas, so thank you!!! I do have a couple of questions though....

1) I have Acrobat 7.0 installed. The .pdf in the registry points to
AcroExch.Document, but when i go to AcroExch.Document there is no
print. the print is in AcroExch.Document.7....do you know why that is?
where is AcroExch.Document.7 associated with .pdf in the registry?

2) When the pdf prints out it opens an acrobat window. Do you know how
to close that window?

Thanks again for all of your help!

Sorry, I've only got Acrobat Reader 6.x installed on this machine. I'll try
and check at home, but doubt I'll be able to do so tonight.

If you look at the ClsId associated with AcroExch.Document and
AcroExch.Document.7, you'll see they're the same. I believe that's the
reason they get treated the same.

Thank you so much Douglas!!!! After reading your post, I found that in
the AcroExch.Document there was a key for CurVer. I read that and was
able to get it to work once i knew what version I was using.

Do you know how I can close the Acrobat Reader after printing?

Thank you so much for your help!
