Hi All

I need help with the following

when a user prints a document i need it to print on 2 seperate print
devices.

how do i do this ?

Reg

Reg,

You need some extra software to do this, we have a product on our web site
called Print Distributor which will provide this. See the link in my sig.

Reg,

Tony is right. Additional software is needed to print to 2
destinations simultaneously. If you need to have a solution for many
users, and no client software added, check out AXIAR, which can do
direct and indirect broadcasts, as well as designate backup printers
for primaries, etc. as an upgrade to the existing windows print
server.

Tony,

I have downloaded the eval copy of the software and have the following
concerns/questions.

1. Both print devices must use the same print driver
2. when setting up the new printer port none of my exsisting printers were
found the printer selection dialog
3. My main aim with attempting to print to 2 devicses was that i have a
print to tiff printer set up but now the requirement is to print on a piece
of paper as well to a tiff file , i notice print distributor can print to a
fiel do you support tiff?

Regards

Reg

Reg,

It sounds like you need something more advanced then, our product assumes
all the printers will support the same printer data stream.

You probably can't see your existing printers if they are network attached
rather than local.
