Hello

Im new to wind2k server and learning this .. I have win 2k server with AD
installed , and i have win 2k pro as workstation .
I published win2k pro computer in active directory of my server so i can
manage this workstaion.. but it seems i have no premission to access win2k
pro from the server.
I just kinda lost , as to what kinda primission i should assigne in my win2k
PRO ? what account should i use..?
I can't find anything about this on all my books and online.

Thanks for your help

By publishing I assume you mean you joined it to the domain? If that is the
case, the global domain admins group by default would be in the local
administrators group of each domain member as part of the process of joining
the domain. Therefore make sure you have a domain account that is in the
domain admins group and you should have administrator access to every
computer in the domain while logged on as a member of the domain admins
group. --- Steve

Thanks Steven ...
I thought my workstation was joined with server. for some reason , i had the
it as a member of domain but was not joined.. i guess because i reinstalled
server a few times.
I rejoined and worked very well . thanks a lot for the direction .
regards

You should administer your stations with the Administrator
account or one account with administrative priviledges.
That same account you are using to administer your server
has to be defined on each station you want to administer
from your server. That is if you are administering your
stations with the Administrator account, you have to
create that same administrator account on each station.
You need to give logon access to that administrative
account to each of your station. By default the
Administrator has no logon restriction regarding
stations. You have to check your logon policies for each
user and computer.
