Is there any way to add a Primary Key field after your tables have been set
up so that I may then establish a relationship between the tables (I only
have 2) and create a form for entering data? Does this make sense? I am
using Access for the first time and had to import a database from another
program and did not understand at that time the importance of the Primary
Key--

Open the table in design view, highlight the field(s) you
want to set as the primary key, right click and you
should see the option to set primary key, then close the
table saving the changes.

see ACG's instructions; and remember that Primary Key in one field should be
also the Foreign Key in the other field....so there is a cross reference

HSK,

ACG's instructions will work. Alternatively, you can just click the
button with the little key icon on the table design toolbar.

Either way, your existing data will need to comply with the requirements
for a primary key field, in particular no duplicates.
