Hi,
Apologies if this is the wrong group for this query.
I have a CNC machine with an old NT computer. It's worked fine for
years. However, today when I try to log on to our domain (SBS 2003
with mainly all XP clients), I get the following error:
"The system cannot log you on to this domain because the system's
computer account in its primary domain is missing".
I've had this before on another machine, and have found that it is a
SSID problem. Previously I have taken the following action:
1) Deleted the computer from Active Directory Users and Computers. 2)
On the machine, logon as administrator and remove the computer from
the Domain (in Network properties) and put it back in Workgroup and
reboot 3) Re-add it to the domain (ticking add computer to domain and
use administrator and password). Reboot.
On this occasion, I have deleted the computer from Active Directory
Users, but have now discovered that the administrator password is
different for this P/C, and neither I or anybody else know what the
password is. Therefore I can't logon to to remove the computer from
the domain in network properties.
Is there any other way I can resolve this problem?
Thanks for any help
Colin
