Is this project dead (again)?

I've looked for recent updates here and see nothing.
Maybe I missed something about the Pricelessware CD project?

I think that Susan is single handedly checking each EULA to make
certain that it is OK to place on the CD. I thiink that she personally
wants to verify each one to avoid any risk of tarnishing
Pricelessware. She did say that she will ask for help if she needs it
though.

Then the files will be checksummed, which should be pretty easy and
quick.

Don't forget the weather is getting nice and she _might_ actually like
to enjoy it! I know that I do... I'm getting the fever!

Thanks for the reply.
I was out of town for a couple of weeks and was hoping to see something
about it when I returned.
Catching up on two weeks of acf posts made me bleary eyed and I thought I
might have missed an announcement somewhere in there. :)

Unfortunately . . .

1) it's snowing here.
2) the CD hasn't arrived.

SINNER said he would mail the CD on Feb. 23. It may still be on it's way
or SINNER may have had more medical problems. He hasn't posted to ACF
since Feb. 26.

I think it's time to consider Plan B.

If we are going to have a PL2004 CD the programs need to be downloaded
again, the EULA's need to be checked, and the CD must be assembled
(adding the PL2004 pages and an index) and verified.

Any volunteers for downloading? The programs readme's should have a
EULA. If several people are willing to help with the downloading/ EULA
checking they can send their programs to me on a CD to me and I'll
assemble the PL2004 CD - adding the index etc. etc.

May I have a show of hands please - if volunteers are available we can
work out the division of programs (perhaps by PL pages).

I've got a good cable connection, so I wouldn't mind helping with any
downloading that needs to be done.

Thanks Ben. :)

IIRC SINNER said it took him two days to download all the programs -
just an FYI in regard to time required - for anyone else that's thinking
about volunteering.

What needs to be done?
Also, would a Download Manager do the trick? tell the DL manager to download
the mass list of files, and let it do its thing when you are on the comp, or
off?

I guess Dialup could be the problem there.

but yeah, depending on what needs to be done, I might be able to help

Aw man. It's been pleasant here pretty much all winter. It's usually
painfully cold and wet. We've been popping from the heater to the AC
for a month or so. In 2-3 months it will be blistering hot though :(

I'm not going to be much help in downloading, but I stand ready.

Thanks. :) Dialup would be pretty slow going. We need a copy of each
PL2004 program (with a few exceptions). In some cases there are both
install and no-install versions to be downloaded. If 4 or 5 people with
fast connections split the work it would require around a half-day's
effort from each.

When there are a few more volunteers we can work out the details.
