A friend of mine has some memory for sale:
128 Mb (speed 133)
Anyone an idea how much i should pay for it?
Reasonable price?

Well new you can get it for about $40 from crucial, and frequently you can
find better deals (if you are willing to put up with rebates). Hence, I
probably wouldn't pay more than $20 or so. Plus, if it doesn't work
because it is the wrong density or something like that, you might want to
make sure that you and your friend have an agreement as to whether you can
return it to him for your money back.

Find out what brand it is. If it's not one of the major
brands, say, Crucial, Kingston, Corsair, or Mushkin,
don't buy it.

Find out if it's the memory you need: check at
http://www.crucial.com.

Check it out before you buy: install it and make sure it works.
If you're adding to existing memory, make sure the
characteristics of all your memory modules match: Download
and install "AIDA32 - Personal" from:
http://www.aida32.hu/aida-download.php?bit=32
and run it. Click on the '+' next to "Motherboard", then on
"SPD", then, under "Device Description", on each of your
memory modules. The characteristics it lists for all of the
modules should be the same except maybe for size.

Price? Maybe half to two thirds of the price at
http://www.newegg.com.
