After I have altered a page and then publish it,the remote website sometimes
shows an old version of that page (sometimes the version of the page is one
from several changes previous to the latest version).....when I refresh the
page,the new version appears.(Frontpage 2003)

Hi Corey,
Thanks for taking the time to help us.
we ran the FP cleaner options "clear hidden temporary files"and "clear
hidden cache files".
we then re published the web site.
We still had the older versions coming up on another household laptop.

We seem to have stopped the problem by changing each laptops internet
options in the browsing history from "check for newer versions of stored
pages AUTOMATICALLY" to "EVERY TIME I VISIT THE WEBSITE"

Since we can't change everybody's settings who visit our site, this isn't
exactly a great solution.

Not sure if we can do anything else though

It sounds like a caching issue. Not associate with Frontpage but IE. When
you view a website, usually it will download the images and HTML pages - this
way it helps to speed things along. You made changes to your IE settings
which is good.

Another way would be to hit F5 or refresh to grab a current copy of the web
page. CNTL-F5 will make sure to grab a copy of the web page from the server

Thanks Corey
It's very kind of you to help
