Previews in Explorer

Hi Folks,
I used be able to get a small "postage-stamp" sized preview
of photographs in windows explorer when I selected theat file in Windows
Explorer/Windows 2000. It was ideal for choosing which one to open. This has
now become disabled and I cant get it back. Anyone have any ideas how I
might do this.? John
