Previewing JPEG images in Windows Explorer

When browsing a folder in Windows Explorer that contains JPEGs and the view
mode is set to one of the icon modes, should the .JPG files appear as little
previews of the image or should they just appear as a default image. For my
machine they don't appear as previews of the image the way they did under
XP. I know I can preview them in Photo Gallery but it would be nice to see
them in Windows Explorer too. Any comments?

In order for the icon to show a preview, in Control Panel> Folder Options,
on the View tab under Advanced settings, "Always show icons, never
thumbnails" must be unchecked.
